He has continued working as a seasonal tax practitioner with a local firm and specialized in small business returns, further developing a desire to understand the role of taxes in firm performance and strategy.
Jason’s several years in sales and territory management with two Fortune 500 companies provided a reference point at the other end of the firm-size spectrum.
Jason’s primary accounting interest is taxation and both his primary teaching and research interests are in this area.
Dr. Stanfield holds an active CPA license from the State of Indiana, and is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Taxation Association, and the Indiana CPA Society.
